Onsite MSK Fellowship Program

The One-Year On-Site Fellowship in Musculoskeletal Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology is a comprehensive, hands-on training program conducted in Mumbai at Pulse Diagnostic Centre and the Joint Ultrasound and Intervention Clinic. This fellowship is designed to provide in-depth clinical, academic, and practical exposure in advanced musculoskeletal imaging and interventions.

Eligibility

Applicants must possess an MD or DNB degree in Radiology.

Program Structure

The fellowship offers training under the direct mentorship of Dr. Chaitali Parekh. The main highlights of the fellowship program are -

  • One-on-one musculoskeletal case discussions and supervised reporting.
  • Perform musculoskeletal ultrasounds under direct supervision throughout the program.
  • Perform hands on musculoskeletal interventions under close supervision in the second half of the fellowship, ensuring technical competence and patient safety.
  • The candidate will have access to approx. 100 musculoskeletal scans a day.

Work Schedule

Working hours: 9 hours per day, 6 days per week

Daily distribution:

3 hours: General (non-MSK) radiology work.

6 hours: Dedicated musculoskeletal imaging and intervention training.

Fees and Stipend

Fellowship fees: ₹100,000 (One time fellowship fee-this can be paid in installments.)

Monthly stipend: ₹75,000

If a candidate is not interested in doing non-MSK general radiology work, there will not be a monthly stipend. Fellowship fees in such scenarios will be discussed on approval.

Completion Criteria

Following completion of one year of fellowship, there will be an end-term assessment in the form of case-based discussions and reporting assessments.

Outcome

On completion of the fellowship, candidates will be well-equipped with advanced diagnostic and interventional skills in musculoskeletal radiology not only in diagnosing but creating accurate reports. This will enable the candidates to be independent, confident, and provide high-quality clinical practice.

A certificate of one-year dedicated fellowship in musculoskeletal diagnostic and interventions will be provided on successful completion.
